GoodWe’s SBP Series AC-coupled battery storage retrofit solution is applicable for both single-phase and three-phase systems. During the day, the PV system generates electricity which will be firstly provided to the loads. Then, the excess energy will charge the battery via the SBP energy storage inverter. The electricity stored can be released when the loads require it. The battery can also be charged by the grid to ensure uninterrupted supply in the event of power cut.
GoodWe GW3600S-BP Inverter
The GoodWe SBP series is the world’s first AC-coupled battery storage retrofit solution with UPS function for both single-phase and three-phase systems. It can effectively upgrade any existing string inverter system by adding battery backup. Capable of being either grid-interactive or independent, it allows users to store surplus power and sell it back to the grid when demand peaks and the price of electricity is at its highest.
Product Features
These GoodWe AC-coupled retrofit inverters created by combining the following key elements into a single unified unit: power inverter, a battery charging and discharging function, the BMS (battery management system) communications and the bypass and backup functions. This type of inverter is designed to make it easy to convert and upgrade grid-tied systems into hybrid ones. It is suitable for both single and three-phase systems and is also compatible with various power sources including solar and wind turbines in both commercial and residential environments.
Applications Include:
Enhancing Self-Consumption. Electricity from the PV array and/or wind turbines are used for self-consumption during the day. The surplus is used to charge the batteries, which in turn can power the loads at night. Utilization of energy storage technologies can bring the self-consumption rate up to 95%.
Providing Backup to Critical Loads. If the grid fails, the backup function of the hybrid inverter can feed power to critical loads such as refrigerators, routers, lamps, computers and other key appliances. The system automatically switches to backup mode within 10 milliseconds.
